Third advisory board meeting provides in-depth insights into project progress
In mid-November 2025, it was time for another meeting with our advisory boards. At the invitation of the KommMa project team, representatives from all over Baden-Württemberg came to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) for a regular exchange. The meeting takes place twice a year in order to draw on experience from the municipal environment and incorporate it into the project.
Dr. Hans Schipper, head of the project and the South German Climate Office at IMKTRO, welcomed the more than 20 participants on site. Among them were three KIT computer science students who are assisting with the software development of the database. For scheduling reasons, one person, the project employee and energy expert Volker Stelzer (KIT, ITAS), was added digitally.
The focus of the meeting was a presentation by the project team on the current progress of the project. In addition to the use of data and the presentation of results, the focus was also on the evaluation of measures. Prototypes were used to illustrate the implementation of the measures in a practical way. The tool demonstration using a dummy was also illustrative.
